Can you believe this garden marvel? A small round green not overly pretty succulent plant that can produce such an enormous and utterly lovely white flower. That stem is about 12 cm in length! I've been watching it grow over the last week or so. This plant only blossoms about every 1-2 years so finding it in full bloom this morning just made my heart sing.

ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a night blooming cactus we used to have at a house we rented. The first time it flowered was such a lovely surprise :-)
well looking at these pics makes my heart sing too! i seem to have similar succulents to yours including this one. how i wish one of them would surprise me.
ReplyDeleterecently a neighbour's aloe vera gave out the most incredible flower sort of like a foxglove.
i kept staring at it over her wall.
that's spectacular. I love what succulents produce. It doesn't seem like it ought to be possible, but there it is. :)
